Support the Growth of Multigenerational Healing in Maine for Black and Indigenous Families

Help us build a nature-based cultural center for families impacted by systemic racism and economic challenges.

We are cultivating more than food on our 24-acre farm in Avon, Maine—we are growing a future rooted in healing, justice, and belonging.

This land is a sanctuary for BIPOC families —a space where cultural knowledge, food sovereignty, and community care come together. But to truly bring our vision to life, we need your support.

Here’s what we’re raising $500,000 in funds and materials for:

  • Operational & Programmatic Funding:

    • To sustain our culturally responsive programs—like outdoor family gatherings and wellness retreats, family-child rearing education, planting workshops, bushcraft workshops, outdoor recreation, mental health education, and traditional knowledge sharing.

  • Infrastructure Support:

    • We’re restructuring our barn into a nature-based Cultural Community Center—a place to gather, learn, and thrive together.

  • Historic Farmhouse Assessment:

    • We’re seeking expert support to determine if the old farmhouse on the property holds Underground Railroad history—and whether it can be preserved, partially preserved, or respectfully removed.

  • Donations Needed:

    • A reliable pickup truck

    • Building materials (lumber, insulation, tools, etc.)

    • Volunteer workers and skilled laborers (especially for carpentry, electric, demolition, and restoration)

    • RV or Camper for the season so we can stay out there and renovate, landscape, and steward the space so it safe and ready for gatherings
